All those little questions you might have

Q:  What is the best time to make an appointment?
A:  As soon as you know you need one!  We suggest you call as early as possible for an appointment that same day.  The office is staffed from 8.45 am until 7.30 pm and an answerphone is used if the offfice is left unattended for any short length of time.

Q:  Can I make an appointment by e-mail?
A:  No, as a busy Clinic it is advisable to phone to make an appointment for instant availability and confirmation of time allocated.

Q:  I would like to become a physiotherapist and am studying for GCSE's at the moment.  Can I do work experience at Hillview?
A:  Sorry, but we like to respect our patients' privacy and not have young, untrained observers whilst we are giving treatment.  We understand that the larger units in NHS hospitals are usually very accommodating.  We thoroughly recommend a career in physiotherapy and wish you luck with your exams.

Q:  My elderly mother has difficulty walking but I am sure would benefit from some physiotherapy.  Could you treat her in her own house?
A:  Yes we can arrange a home visit.  However, for your mother's comfort it is advisable to be seen in the Clinic where we have access to all our equipment.  With prior notice, we can arrange for your mother to be seen in a ground floor treatment room if stairs are a problem.

Q:  You say you are a Sports Injury Clinic, do you cover all sporting injuries?
A:  Yes, between us all we have seen most problems over the years, and we understand the need for sportsmen and women to return to their chosen sport by yesterday!  We will handle your injury sensibly and give you the best advice to ensure a safe return as quickly as possible.

Q:  I would like to try Pilates, can I join a class at Hillview?
A:  Our physiotherapists wholeheartedly recommend Pilates to help with back and stability problems.  We are fortunate to have Kevin Warner working closely with us.  Kevin trained in South Africa and has been at Hillview for the last 4 years.  Kevin likes to teach on a one-to-one basis to ensure you get the best from your lesson.  Classes last for one hour and can be booked with reception or if you require further information call Kevin on 07980 799713.  Due to public demand (and a bit of nagging on our part!) Kevin is now doing a Group Pilates session on Mnday evenings.  Please contact Kevin for information.
